501st Combat Support Wing

The Housing Office at your gaining installation can assist in your transition to the United Kingdom. The Housing Office provides on-base housing if available, rental information, referral listing, on-site joint property inspections upon move in, assist with tenancy agreements for off-base housing and arbitrate disputes between members and landlords. We provide temporary loaner furniture and permanent appliances. Our staff will assist you with any housing-related problems.

Upon notification of your new assignment to a 501st CSW installation, fill out a DD Form 1746, Application for Assignment to Housing, and ask your current Housing Office to fax it to your gaining installation. Average waiting times for Military Family Housing are subject to change.

If you plan to live on the economy, there are several websites available to view properties currently for rent. The Automated Housing Referral Network is sponsored by the Department of Defense and the landlords work with the local Housing Office to be listed on the site. Right Move is a United Kingdom site with properties available to purchase or rent. Using Right Move normally requires you to work through an estate agent to let a house or flat. Working through estate agents usually requires two month's rent, a non-refundable application fee and a credit check fee - all monies are due on the day of move in.
