The 421st Air Base Group is located at Royal Air Force Menwith Hill and is a component of the 501st Combat Support Wing headquartered at Royal Air Force Alconbury, England.

Mission
Their mission is to ensure a full range of base support services for an installation populace of 3,700 military, civilians, contractors and their families. The group hosts 10 multi-national, multi-service, multi-agency units performing U.S. and U.K. cryptologic missions and provides base mission support to RAF Menwith Hill. Menwith Hill Station serves as an integral part of the Department of Defense worldwide defense communications network and provides intelligence support for U.K., U.S. and their allied interests.

Personnel
The group is made up of approximately 780 people assigned to the various squadrons throughout the group. The unit employs approximately 74 active duty military, 68 DoD Civilians, 72 Non-Appropriated Fund employees, 17 Local National Direct Hire and 61 contractors. 494 Ministry of Defence employees also work in the unit.

Organization
The group consists of group staff, the 421st Air Base Squadron, the 421st Civil Engineer Squadron and the Security Division.
