The 501st Combat Support Wing wants to nurture the culture of innovation that is central to the United States Air Force. Using official programs, such as the Innovative Development through Employee Awareness (IDEA) program, or through avenues to propose innovations to wing leadership, new methods of doing business that save time and money will only make the 501st CSW more successful now and in the future. To propose an innovation, either through the IDEA program or to wing leadership, read the tabs below.

Air Force IDEA program

The Air Force IDEA program information and tools are available to all Airmen. As innovative Airmen, everyone is encouraged to participate in the IDEA program and help to streamline the Air Force. To submit an IDEA, visit https://ipds.randolph.af.mil/ipds/web_page_edi, a CAC-enabled site, and register for a profile. Before submitting an IDEA, check the IDEA pool to ensure your IDEA does not duplicate one already in the system.

501st innovation submissions

Leaders of the 501st Combat Support Wing would like to hear ideas and suggestions on ways the wing can innovate and improve processes to save time, money and manpower or ideas on things we can stop doing to save time. An idea not discussed and deliberated on is a missed opportunity to potentially save resources. Have an idea on how to improve process or conserve resources? See below on how to submit an idea or innovation, which can also be done anonymously.

1. Visit the "Contact Us" page.

2. Select Innovations as the recipient.

3. Fill out the rest of the form with your information and idea. The form can not be submitted without a name or e-mail address.

4. To submit anonymously, enter "Anonymous Innovator" as the name, and use 501stinnovation@gmail.com as the e-mail address. The submission will originate from the e-mail address entered, so using the 501stinnovation address will ensure that the submission remains anonymous.

5. Type in the code shown at the bottom of the page to ensure that you are not a bot attempting to spam the address and click "send message" to help improve the 501st CSW!
