The Innovator of the Month award recognizes an individual or team in the 501st Combat Support Wing who have improved our ability to accomplish the mission by making some kind of improvement within their workspace. Innovation is essential to continued mission accomplishment across the U.S. Air Force. In this time of constrained budgets, there are fewer resources available to accomplish our missions.
The Air Force has continually fielded programs designed to inspire a culture of innovation and creativity within our service. The Innovator of the Month is just one way that the 501st CSW is attempting to foster the culture of innovation. The idea is to make improvements that provide better service to our customers, reduce our own workload, and stretch our ability to meet mission our currently resource-constrained environment.
