Yelden Memorial Dedication
Members of the Tri-Base Honor Guard retire the colors at a memorial dedication service at St. Mary's Church, Yelden, Bedfordshire. The service honored U.S. military personnel who died March 24, 1944 when a B-17 Flying Fortress crashed upon takeoff from RAF Cheveston. The crash killed 11 aircrew members, eight military personnel on the ground and two children from the village.
