RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- Andrew Pillow, 501st Combat Support Wing Contracting, was named the January 501st Everyday Hero from the 501st CSW Staff.

He is responsible for conducting the best and most efficient contracting strategies in support of the 501st CSW and all of its geographically separated units. During his duties he successfully coordinated the first contract protest the contracting office had seen in six years, allowing the RAF Fairford flying mission to continue uninterrupted.

Pillow has also volunteered his time at the Alconbury Post Office during the holiday season and assisted an elderly couple in his village with computer problems.
