from 423rd Medical Squadron

2/10/2012 - RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- The RAF Upwood Pharmacy now has a Script Center refill machine located at the RAF Molesworth Visitor Center.

Refills called in before 10 a.m. will be ready the following day, with the exception of down days and holidays. Call in your refills as early as one week before you run out for a 30 day supply and two weeks for a 90 day supply of medication through the telephone refill service at phone number 0800-919-121. This allows the pharmacy adequate time to make sure they have the medication quantities in supply for your order without any delays. Follow the prompts for the location you want to pick up refills at (Upwood Pharmacy, Alconbury Commissary or Molesworth location). Prescriptions can be picked up during Commissary hours at the Alconbury location and the visitor center hours at the Molesworth location. Please, plan accordingly.

Please be advised that certain items cannot be picked up through this machine. Those items are:
1.) Controlled or narcotic items
2.) Refrigerated items
3.) Large, bulky or oversized items
4.) Renewals* and new medications
*(when the medical provider adds more refills to an existing prescription)

Once loaded into the Script Center, medicine refills will be available for pick up for seven duty days. If you do not pick up your prescription by the seventh duty day, it will be returned to the RAF Upwood Pharmacy. Please be advised that the pharmacy does not stock the Script Center on down days or holidays.

The first time you use the refill machine

Even if you currently have a user name and password for the Alconbury machine, you will still need to enroll at the location you are picking up your medications. You may use the same user name/password to avoid having multiple passwords. Have with you a valid prescription number (located on your medicine bottle label). Select "Enroll" and follow the screen prompts (name, date of birth, etc.) to finish your enrollment. You may also establish a "One Touch Family Pick-up". Simply log in, select "My Settings" and then select "Change who I pick up for" and add family members to your account.

The 423rd Medical Squadron's goal is to service both sites to minimize any delay in therapy. If you have any questions, you can reach the pharmacy at DSN 268-4556 or 01480844556.
