The Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Program is a Congressionally-mandated and federally-funded program that provides personalized care, services and advocacy to total force seriously or very seriously wounded, ill or injured Recovering Service Members (RSMs). The program focuses on specific personal and family needs through personalized support and advocacy.

The Airmen and Family Readiness Center offers multiple counseling services for issues such as financial, family, career, transition assistance and benefits, and Personal and Work Life Consultation.

ADAPT offers various services for active-duty service members to include evaluations, education and prevention briefings and treatment for alcohol/drugs (intensive education, outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient). Additionally, ADAPT supports Air Force responsible drinking programs, commander’s calls and supportive presentations. ADAPT does not treat dependents, retirees (VA) or contractors. Anyone fitting into the aforementioned categories will be seen on a space-available basis for a one-time evaluation and referred to an off-base treatment facility as needed.

Active duty, reserve, National Guard, civilians supporting DOD and their family members can count on the Red Cross to provide emergency Communication that link them with their families back home.

The RAF Fairford Chapel offers a variety of services for different religious denominations. RAF Fairford chaplains can provide confidential one-on-one, marital, family or work-related counseling to Airmen and their dependents, and to Department of Defense personnel.

Brief Therapy

Brief, provides behavioral solutions refined by identified problems for emotional health and focused goals, helping clients cope with issues such as stress, anger management, relationship issues, occupational problems, worry, sleep concerns and more.

Provides 24-hour telephone and face-to-face non-clinical crisis response and support to adult victims of domestic abuse and intimate partner sexual assault.

Committed to introducing comprehensive prevention initiatives with continued outreach to prevent substance and drug abuse in the Air Force.

The Family Advocacy Program has a wide variety of services designed to promote healthy and happy military families. Our program aspires to build resilient and knowledgeable communities. We help individuals to enhance skills that will assist in preventing or resolving relationship conflicts, improving communication, expanding parenting skills, and much more! Additionally, Family Advocacy offers anger management classes, stress management classes, relationship enhancement classes, Parenting classes, onsite visits, agency collaborations and home visitation for expecting parents, and family violence reporting via an unrestricted report or a restricted report and Family Advocacy Strength-Based Therapy Services. The Family Advocacy Program is staffed by Licensed Clinical Social Workers, registered Nurses, a Domestic Victim Advocate, and Administrative Staff comprised of both civilian and military personnel.

The Health Promotion Office provides information and education in physical fitness, nutrition and tobacco cessation. Education classes include Better Body Better Life, Run Well Program which helps people improve their PT times, cooking demonstrations and tobacco cessation classes for those wanting to quit smoking. We also support monthly observations, attend health fairs, and can brief squadrons and groups on different health topics.

The mental health clinic provides various services for active duty service members to include mental health assessments (command directed evaluations and fitness-for-duty determinations), solution-focused individual and couples therapy, medication evaluation and management and consultations/initial evaluations for dependents and children on a space-available basis.

Provides broad-ranging counseling services to military personnel and their dependents. Services are provided confidentially with the exception of duty-to-warn situations. There are currently five MFLCs available on RAF Mildenhall. Three are dedicated to working with adults and two (CYB) are dedicated to providing services to youth.

Registered Nurses provide education and support through home visits, telephone consults, and classes. We provide services for expectant parents and families with children under 36 months of age. Some of the topics we can talk with you about include stages of pregnancy, labor, and delivery, breastfeeding, nutrition for your baby/toddler, coping with crying, developmental milestones, parental responsibilities, effective discipline, toilet training, sleep habits, etc.

Retiree Activities Offices assist, military members and their families during their transition to retirement, provide assistance to former spouses, surviving spouses and dependents. Services include survivor benefit pay, myPay accounts, Social Security, Causality Affairs or updating personal information, emails, or life-changing events.  

The SAPR program reinforces the Air Force’s commitment to prevent and respond to sexual assault. The Air Force is committed to introducing comprehensive prevention initiatives with continued focus on building both individual and community collaboration to promote social change.

The VWAP Program assists victims and witnesses of any crime. This vital program ensures that statutorily mandated rights of victims are protected and that the roles of victims and witnesses in our disciplinary process are enhanced. An effective program can mitigate the stress that often accompanies interaction with the military justice system.

The WAT provides interpersonal support, referral services, and on-going non-clinical support to RAF Mildenhall Active Duty and family members voluntarily requesting services.  The WAT employs a “dedicated wingman” concept to bolster wellness, and also functions as a bridge to formalized helping agencies when needed.
