Location: RAF Alconbury

Mission: The 423d Civil Engineer Squadron consists of Local National Direct Hire, MoD and DoD Civil Servants, Military and Contracted employees. Together they serve the 501st Combat Support Wing’s missions at both RAF Molesworth and Alconbury. They are responsible for 687 facilities, on 916 acres of land, with a physical plant valued at $1.4B. Their team oversees facility construction, operations and maintenance through a Base Maintenance Contract managed by Defense Infrastructure Organization, and provide environmental, emergency management, housing, fire and emergency services for a base population of 4,900. The 423d Civil Engineer Squadron supports 11 joint and international units, to include EUCOM’s Joint Analysis Center, NATO’s Intelligence Fusion Center, and AFRICOM’s J2 functions.
