Emergency Care Locations

The clinic at RAF Alconbury does not have emergency access care. We are supported by host nation civilian facilities, as well as civilian ambulance services. The closet facilities are the Hinchingbrooke Hospital located in Huntingdon, and Addenbrooke Hospital located n Cambridge.

The hospital is located at in Cambridge, UK, Driving directions are fairly straight forward from RAF Alconbury. Take the A14 towards Cambridge. The A14 will merge into the M11 towards London. At exit 12, keep left on to ramp towards the A603 towards Cambridge. Keep straight on to Grantchester Road and at the next roundabout take the first exit on to A603 (Barton Road). At the next roundabout take the second exit onto A1134 (The Fen Causeway). At this point you will see signs directing you to the A&E.

Finding Hinchingbrooke Hospital by car is easy as it is well signed.
Travelling from the A1 in either direction, take the exit to Brampton, then follow signs to Huntingdon. As you travel towards Huntingdon, you will see signs to the hospital on your left. Follow these and you will see the hospital on your right.

Travelling from the A14 in either direction, take the exit to Godmanchester, then follow signs to Huntingdon. After crossing the mediaeval bridge, stay in the left hand lane and follow signs to the hospital. As you near the hospital, you will see it signed to a turning on the left, take this, follow the signs and you will see the hospital on your right.
