RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom --

An operation readiness exercise (ORE) was conducted at RAF Croughton and RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom last week. The 501st Combat Support Wing Inspection Team assessed Airmen, from the 423rd and 422nd Air Base Group's, on their capabilities and responsiveness to a simulated chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) attack and operational readiness.

The exercise involved scenarios that tested the Airman on alarm conditions, CBRN response, self-aide buddy care, medical evacuation and unexploded ordinance reporting. Each aspect of the exercise assisted the Airmen in staying proficient in their combat readiness skills and preparedness to meet contingency operational requirements.
