STAVANGER, Norway -- The 426th Air Base Squadron (ABS) recently provided comprehensive logistical support to a U.S. Special Forces unit and facilitated their participation in a joint training operation with allied forces in the harsh, arctic environment of the High North. The unit's specialized equipment and gear were transported to remote locations via airlift, ensuring that all necessary tools and supplies were readily available. As forces from different nations come together to train and operate in the unforgiving environment, the complexity of logistic movements is tested and refined. The 426th ABS Logistics Office worked tirelessly to transport and maintain specialized gear, such as cold-weather diving suits, rebreathers, watercraft, and advanced communications equipment. Through meticulous planning and execution, the logistical support team enabled the special forces unit to focus on its core mission: practicing and perfecting their arctic skills alongside their international counterparts.
