IACS certification continues across United Kingdom Published Aug. 10, 2012 RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- As security forces squadrons across the United Kingdom complete the Installation Access Control System certification process, they will begin enforcing the 100 percent registration policy for installation access at each of their respective installations. RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Croughton and RAF Menwith Hill have already received full system certification. Anyone not registered in IACS will be directed to the Visitor Control Center to register. The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence identification card will no longer be valid for gaining access to installations certified for IACS operation. Failure to register in IACS may result in denial of entry at an installation. The 423rd Security Forces Squadron has not yet completed the certification process and thus has not implemented the 100 percent registration policy at RAF Alconbury, RAF Molesworth and RAF Upwood. The 423rd SFS expects to complete the certification process this quarter and will then also begin denying access to those not registered in the system or possessing a valid base pass. At RAF Croughton, individuals that have already registered but do not show as registered when their card is scanned will not be denied access. These individuals must schedule an appointment with Visitor Control Center personnel to be physically present and sort out the issue with the IACS helpdesk in Germany. When personnel are issued a new Common Access Card, they will need to re-register in IACS with their new card. Personnel do not need to register at each installation, as their CAC should be readable by the scanners at any installation. Registration is available at the following locations: RAF Croughton Visitor Control Center (right outside the front gate) Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. DSN: 236-8877 Commercial: 01280 708 877 RAF Molesworth Pass and Registration Building 344 Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. DSN: 268-2525 Commercial: 01480 842 525 RAF Alconbury Visitor Control Center (Only during Airman and Family Readiness Center Newcomer Orientation) 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m. RAF Menwith Hill Vehicle Registration Office in building 416 Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Additional information can be found here: Installation Access Control System
