Hosepipe ban lifted for RAF Croughton, RAF Alconbury Published June 14, 2012 RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- Three water companies, including a main supplier to RAF Alconbury, RAF Croughton and surrounding areas, have lifted a hosepipe ban June 14 imposed in April due to low water levels caused by drought conditions. Anglian Water, Thames Water and Southern Water all removed their hosepipe bans due to several months of record rainfall across England. Even with the lifting of the ban, residents are encouraged to continue attempting to conserve water whenever possible. Four companies, South East Water, Veolia Central, Sutton and East Surrey Water, and Veolia South East Water, have kept their hosepipe bans in place.
