RAF CROUGHTON, United Kingdom -- The RAF Croughton Ministry of Defence Police was named the September 501st Everyday Hero from the 422nd Air Base Group.

The MDP are responsible for providing host nation police service to RAF Croughton and Barford St. John through 24/7 patrols in a counter-terrorist capacity.

The MDP has been assigned to the base since 2005 and work hand-in-hand with the 422nd Security Forces Squadron to police the base and provide external security.
