RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- Staff Sgt. Floriendo Maruzzo, 501st Combat Support Wing Chapel, was named the September 501st Everyday Hero from the 501st CSW Staff.

As a chaplain assistant, Maruzzo, is responsible to help manage a full-spectrum religious support for the Tri-Base community. As part of that support, he acts as a member of the Religious Support team, which provides chapel-based ministry by visiting Airmen across the wing. Maruzzo also actively coordinates volunteers to support the RAF Alconbury Chapel and

As the facility manager for the RAF Alconbury Chapel, Chapel Annex and RAF Molesworth Chapel Annex he is responsible for upkeep and maintenance for the buildings.

Besides Maruzzo's active role in the chapel, he is an active volunteer for the 423rd Air Base Group Honor Guard.
