May Innovator of the Month

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom - Col. Brian Kelly, 501st Combat Support Wing commander, presents the Innovator of the Month award to Terry Beal, 423 Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department. May Innovator of the Month named

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- The 501st Combat Support Wing recently named the Innovator of the Month for May.

Terry Beal, 423rd Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department, was recognized by Col. Brian Kelly, 501st CSW commander, for his innovation to carry out local cardio pulmonary resuscitation, automatic external defibrillation and first aid training.

The impact of this innovation will save the wing $1,600 in immediate savings and every third year a further $400 in savings. It also saves base personnel from having to travel to RAF Mildenhall, and relieves American Red Cross instructors at RAF Mildenhall for having to teach extra students.
