PLAYpass offers fun for deployed single Airmen, families

SAN ANTONIO (AFNS) --  In continuing efforts to build a resilient force, single Airmen returning from deployment and families of deployed members can receive special discounts at select Force Support Squadron activities to help Airmen and their families ease the pressures and stress associated with deployments, officials said.

Air Force Services Agency officials will offer PLAYpass cards May 28 through Dec. 31. The cards, valued at more than $500, feature discounts on activities such as child care, youth sports, recreation programs and classes.

"We're excited to expand this program to single Airmen to provide deployment respite and help with re-integration," said Linda Weston, an Air Force Services Agency marketing specialist. "The program is based on discount cards that provide single Airmen and eligible family members the opportunity to participate in programs at either reduced costs or free of charge."
