The Air Force is currently converting from the existing Government Travel Card to the new Controlled Spend Account travel cards. The new card will cater to the traveler by providing an increased flexibility to meet the cardholder's travel needs.

Air Force officials anticipate this card will minimize the risk of delinquencies while fulfilling mission requirements. Cardholder details are summarized below.

What Travelers Need To Know:

- Cardholders must call to confirm receipt of the CSA and establish a PIN (An existing GTC PIN will not automatically transfer to CSA). PINs will not be sent in the mail.
- All travelers will have a CSA since no credit checks are required.
- CSA has no value unless the individual is in a travel status.
- Cardholders may contact CitiBank directly to request an adjustment of their spending limit.
- An automated email message is sent to both the traveler and their APC to confirm increase request.
- Temporary Spend Limit Increases are good for five business days (seven calendar days).
- The maximum amount allowed for cash withdrawal is $200.
- 100 percent of the voucher payment will be sent directly to CitiBank.
- There are many options to obtain residual funds - electronic transfer, check issuance, ATM - two percent withdrawal fee).
- Accounts will be suspended at 61 days past due if the account is not paid.
- Keeping contact information is essential. Email addresses play an important role.
