Looking for their second consecutive Division III football championship, Alconbury High School will face off against Sigonella High School in the Super Six High School Football Championships, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. in Germany.

This is the second meeting of the two schools this year, with the first game ending in an Alconbury victory in double overtime. However, the game had to be forfeited by Alconbury due to an ineligible player who played in the game.

"This is every team's goal to make it back to the Super Six," said Alconbury Head Coach Jeffrey Black. "Our team set out solid expectations at the beginning of the season and we have achieved our goal to return to this game."

Both teams feature a high-octane running game. Alconbury averages more than 400 yards a game on the ground. While Alconbury has been difficult for defenses to handle this year, the same could be said of Sigonella's team, who operate a diverse offense.

"We want to limit the big plays, because (Sigonella) is a big play team," Coach Black said. "Our defense is going to have to bend and not break and not allow their explosive team to get behind us."

Alconbury will enter the game with questions on whether starting quarter back, Jeff Black, will be able to play due to injury. However, if he isn't the team will still run the ball.
"We are a very physical team, and we stick to our guns with a game to be fought in the trenches," Coach Black said. "If Jeff can play it will open up the game for us, but we will still play our way."

Following the Alconbury game will be Mannheim vs. Bitburg and then Heidelberg vs. Wiesbaden. All games will be broadcasted live on the Pentagon Channel and streamed live on www.afneurope.net.
