The Intelligence and Knowledge Development Directorate (IKD-M) at Royal Air Force Molesworth held its first Spring Fling last week. It was open to all IKD-M employees and their family members.

The event included food, games, music, a pie in the face contest and a bouncy castle for the kids. More than 250 IKD-M team members and their families came out to enjoy the day.

"Being one of the newest members of the IKD-M team it was just wonderful to meet so many of the spouses and children", said Air Force Col. Michele Cook, the incoming Commander, IKD-M. "Despite the morning rain and wind we had a great turnout and that speaks volumes about our folks."

"Many thanks to those who helped make our inaugural IKD-M Spring Fling a resounding success," said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Scott Lumpkin, Senior Enlisted Leader for IKD-M. "It takes a lot of work behind the scenes to make an event like this happen--particularly with the tricky UK weather--and those involved did a terrific job."

"Everyone seemed to have a great time," said Cook. "We plan to make this an annual event."

The day concluded with a friendly game of softball between the enlisted and the officers.
The officers took home the trophy this year, but the enlisted have already asked for a rematch.
