Eagle Scout is the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve.  Earning this rank is the culmination of a scout's career, and the personal goal of Boy Scout Anthony Devlin of Troop 245.

One of the criteria for attaining Eagle Scout status is successful completion of a public service project.

Life Scout Anthony Devlin of Boy Scout Troop 245, chose as his project providing St. Theresa's Homeless Day Shelter in Peterborough, England with warm clothing such as winter coats, jeans, socks , blankets, sleeping bags, and scarves to stave off the chill of sleeping outdoors during the cold and wet English winter; and food which will be used at the day Shelter.

St. Theresa's is a Day Shelter only, and does not have facilities to offer any nighttime shelter to Peterborough's homeless. During the day it offers breakfast, lunch and snack items to the homeless population that use the facility.  The shelter relies on donations for many of its high consumption food items.

On Friday, September 19, 2008 Anthony and his fellow scouts collected donations at the Post Offices on RAF Alconbury and on RAF Molesworth. The generosity of the tri-base military community was outstanding.
