After nearly 10 months of planning, construction, and renovations, RAF Fairford finally has its very own stand-alone Training and Education Center.

Until recently, the center shared space in the base supply building with the 420th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held April 2, at the new facility in building 1224.

The facility ensures a more conducive environment for learning, as traffic is reduced to only those individuals that have business for education and/or training. The new facility also houses many improvements such as interactive whiteboards and increased computer access.

The goal of the Education Center is to ensure all Airmen at RAF Fairford leave the base with at least an Associate in Applied Science Degree from the Community College of the Air Force.
