Give a toy, help a child. It is that time of year again when we get the opportunity to make a difference in our world's most valuable asset - our children. One of the means through which the United States Marine Corps accomplishes this is through the annual Toys for Tots program.

The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

The objectives of this U.S. Marine Corps program are to help needy children experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of children; to unite members of local communities in a common cause for the holiday season each year during the annual toy collection; and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

Collection boxes can be found at the AAFES BX on RAF Alconbury, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, and at the RAF Molesworth NYPD. This year's donations will be distributed to needy children throughout Cambridgeshire. The point of contact or this year's campaign is U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Christopher Greene at DSN 268-1893.
