RAF Alconbury post office announces school coloring contest winners

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom --  The RAF Alconbury Post Office announced the winners of the 2013 October National Stamp Collecting Month coloring contest during presentations held at the Alconbury Elementary School Oct. 18.

The contest consisted of three grade categories of sure start (pre-K) through first grades, second through third grades, and fourth through fifth grades. There were nine top prize winners overall with the judging conducted by members from the RAF Alconbury Post Office (423rd Communications Squadron).

The top prizes were "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" stamp collection sets, In the Mail Box "I Love You" Teddy Bears and "The Art of Disney" stamp books. All participants received a U. S. Postal Service commemorative stamp coloring book.
