501st CSW Everyday Hero

RAF MENWITH HILL, United Kingdom --  John Straughair, 421st Civil Engineer Squadron, was named May's 501st CSW Everyday Hero from the 421st Air Base Group.

Straughair provided high quality programming and planning of civil engineering programs and space allocation boards (averaging five per month). He also served as the bi-monthly Work Order Review Board representative, quarterly Harrogate Borough Council Town and Country representative and other leadership activities. Additionally, during the month of April, he took on a major project, relocating all Navy, Marine Corps and mission partner Air Force personnel from the Bldg 512 administrative building to more secure locations away from the base perimeter, as part of an in-house civil engineer design execution.
