501st CSW post offices add four to zip code
RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom – Airman 1st Class Trenton Ruopp, 423rd Communications Squadron RAF Alconbury postal clerk, places mail in customer’s boxes May 31. It currently takes Ruopp almost two hours to sort the almost 1,700 daily letters the RAF Alconbury Post Office receives before he can place it in customers’ boxes. When the post office starts using the Optical Character Reader to read the zip Plus 4, mail will already be sorted when it arrives at the post office and customers will be able to receive their mail quicker.
