501st CSW Everyday Hero - 501 CSW April 2013

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom – Staff Sgt. Brian Stives, 501st Combat Support Wing, was named April’s 501st CSW Everyday Hero from the 501st CSW staff. Stives, 501st CSW Public Affairs, has embraced his new AFSC of photojournalist, accomplishing six work orders and 256 photos in the month of March alone. Since the merger into the new AFSC in November 2012, Stives has completed 78 work orders and 2,410 photos. Stives has transformed the 51st CSW social media sites, driving engagement to new heights by creating interesting and informative posts, to include places to go and activities to do on the weekends and a recent addition of “this day in history.” His efforts have led to a standard engagement rate of 93 percent, roughly 90 percent higher than most major corporations; the average rate is 2.2 percent. The 501st CSW Facebook posts have been seen this month by more than 2.8 million people, majority of the are not friends of our page, it is from 501st CSW members sharing and posting our messages on their pages.
