First ever Bob “The Dog” Shaw Classic held at RAF Alconbury

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom – Members of the Peterborough Saxons, Cambridgeshire Cats and 501st Combat Support Wing give a final cheer for Bob "The Dog" Shaw at midfield after the first ever Bob "The Dog" Shaw Classic May 12 at the RAF Alconbury football field. Both teams have military personnel from RAF Alconbury, RAF Molesworth, RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath playing alongside British players. Coach Bob Shaw was a part of both teams as an offensive line coach for both the Saxons and Cats, and was the head coach for the Cats. The game was scheduled to show support for Shaw’s battle with cancer, however Shaw lost the battle the morning of the game. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Brian Stives)
