501st CSW Everyday Hero - November 2012

RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom -- Val Lucas, 501st Combat Support Wing Legal Office, was named November’s 501st CSW Everyday Hero from the 501st CSW Wing Staff. Lucas, the British Liaison Officer, worked tirelessly to plan, prepare and coordinate the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Host Nation Legal Advisor Conference held at RAF Alconbury from Nov. 6 to 8. She coordinated the lodging, conference accommodations, base access, transportation and meal arrangements for more than 25 host-nation legal advisors and attorneys from across USAFE. Additionally she created welcome packages, complete with maps, local community information, base information and writing materials for each attendee to ensure overall success of the first-ever USAFE Host Nation Legal Advisor conference held on a military installation. Lucas advises the legal office and commanders on law relating to visiting forces in the United Kingdom. She also advises tri-base members on British law. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
