421st Air Base Group celebrates Proms on the Hill
RAF MENWITH HILL, United Kingdom - Members of the Menwith Hill community watch fireworks during the annual Proms on the Hill celebration Sept. 7. In 1895, Robert Newman organized the first Proms celebration and it still remains true to its original aim: to present the widest possible range of music, performed to the highest standards, to large audiences. In 1996, the first Proms in the Park was launched and after this, the Proms celebrations became increasingly popular. This year, the MHS community’s celebrations featured the Harrogate Band.
