Operation Back to School kicks off
RAF MENWITH HILL, United Kingdom - Staff Sgt. Shawn Zapata, 421st Logistics Flight, receives a backpack full of school supplies from Master Sgt. Dennis Dyke, Aug. 3. Operation Warmheart, through the RAF Menwith Hill First Sergeant Council, gave free school supplies to 25 children in grades K-12, from the Menwith Hill Community during the first ever “Operation Back-to-School.” In addition to providing school supplies to families which meet eligibility requirements, Operation Warmheart also gives families meal voucher/gift cards during the holiday seasons, as well as giving meals to family members on Deployed Family Member Night at the club.
