Staff Sgt. David Vantreese is NCOIC, Electronic Security Systems, 422nd Security Forces Squadron, and oversees the installation’s Intrusion Detection System consisting of 335 alarm points in 32 facilities at three bases and three GSU’s. He continually manages the installation, maintenance and operations of sensors providing alarm coverage for Protection Level resources supporting U.S. and NATO missions. Beyond the normal ESS duties, he is trained to repair minor alarm malfunctions, negating the need and cost of, contractor response from RAF Lakenheath. Additionally, Sergeant Vantreese develops training and certification material, as well as evaluates performance of sensor system operators. His duties ensure consistent reliable operation of electronic security systems in order to provide continuous surveillance of national security assets.
