Machine Gun from B-17G 44-6504 Is Displayed at RAF Molesworth
One of the 13 machine guns aboard B-17G 44-6504 when it crashed on the English-Scottish border on December 16, 1944, is displayed on the JAC’s Thunderbird Lounge dedicated to another 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy) B-17. The gun was recovered by hikers Kevin and Carole Ryder while walking in the Cheviot Hills in 2008. U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Javier Cruz.
