"Fortresses Under Fire" by Keith Ferris (1975) The mural is at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Washington, DC and depicts the 70th mission of Thunderbird on August 15, 1944 to Wiesbaden, Germany. This is the B-17 that Lt. Vern Moncur flew from Molesworth during WWII. LT Vern Moncur is the father of Gary Moncur who will speak to the JAC on June 5th.
