Mr. Jerry Carter digs soil from where the main runway
Mr. Jerry Carter digs soil from where the main runway once stood during World War II at RAF Molesworth. Mr. Carter is the son of Staff Sgt. Edward K. Carter, U. S. Army Air Corps who served with the 359th Bomb Squadron, 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy). His late father always wanted to return to Molesworth; but it was not to be. The soil will be distributed on Staff Sgt. Carter's grave in the United States. (U.S. Air Force photo by Peter Park)
