Bringing Jackson home

Pattie Morneault, second cousin of the late 2nd Lt. Jackson Palmer Jr., World War II 303rd Bombardment Group navigator, and her husband Henry watch a video presentation during the Holocaust Remembrance luncheon at RAF Alconbury, May 28, 2014. Palmer’s B-17 Bomber was shot down by enemy forces in 1944, and he was buried at the World War II American Cemetery and Memorial in Margraten, The Netherlands without his family knowing what happened to him. Almost 70 years later his family visited Europe to gather information about his life and death, as well as visit his burial site. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt. Chrissy Best/Released)
