Civil engineer saves Air Force $50K
In an effort to reduce the cost of basewide pavement projects, Staff Sgt. Jonathan Ravana, 423rd Civil Engineer Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of execution support, consolidated multiple jobs into a single project which saved the U.S. Air Force $50,000 and 20 man-hours in 2014. This innovation led to a decreased planning time and competitive pricing for projects totaling $425,000. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Staff Sgt. Jarad A. Denton/Released)
