Royal Air Force Sq. Ldr. Jayne Robertson, RAF commander for RAF Fairford, welcomes attendees to the RAF Fairford 75th Anniversary Heritage Day at RAF Fairford, England, September 6, 2019. RAF Fairford has been used by the U.S. Air Force nearly continuously since it was first built for D-Day operations in 1944, and its support over the years to the B-47, KC-10, KC-135, B-52, B-2, B-1 and others have enabled combat operations around the world.
