Defenders maintain readiness with new M18 pistol

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Michael Pritchard, 423rd Security Forces Squadron (SFS) patrolman, fires an M18 handgun during a qualification course, at RAF Molesworth, England, July 28, 2020. During the course, five Airmen from the 423rd SFS were introduced to the M18 SIG Sauer Modular Handgun System and were able to learn about its various functions and internal components. The M18 will be replacing the M9 Beretta, which has been in use by security forces for over 30 years. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Eugene Oliver)
