U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Ron Murray, left, 501st Combat Support Wing Chapel superintendent of religious affairs, and Chaplain Capt. Steven Davis, right, 501st CSW Chapel, provide religious and counseling support in POD 2 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 1, 2021. Airmen from the 501st CSW chapel integrated with Ramstein’s chapel team and supported the religious and spiritual needs of the evacuees, Airmen, Soldiers, joint allied forces and volunteers. The team provided stewardship for 16 mosques, supplied over 500 prayer rugs, assisted with trash pickup and food distribution and delivered refreshments to workers and volunteers. They also provided counseling and guidance to Airmen in dealing with and metabolizing all their experiences from a cultural and religious perspective.
