  • Operation Torch 2020: USAFRICOM commemorates V-J Day

    U.S. Africa Command Directorate for Intelligence at RAF Molesworth partnered with the American Battle Monuments Commission Cambridge American Cemetery to conduct Operation TORCH-2020, a memorial cleanup at six U.S. military World War II sites across England, Aug. 15, 2020. This effort commemorated the 75th anniversary of Victory over Japan (V-J) Day and the end of WWII.
  • 423rd MDS recognized for AFRICOM joint support

    Leadership from the U.S. Africa Command Directorate for Intelligence at RAF Molesworth presented coins of excellence to five Airmen of the 423rd Medical Squadron at RAF Alconbury, England, June 11, 2020, as part of a new initiative called AFRICOM Aces. AFRICOM Aces recognizes mission partners who have gone above and beyond in the performance of their job.
  • 501st mission partner innovates against COVID-19 spread

    With COVID-19 creating difficulties and instability in global supply chains, healthcare workers around the globe are challenged to keep up with increasing demands for personal protective equipment. James Anderson is a mission partner to the 501st Combat Support Wing, where he works as a geospatial intelligence analyst at RAF Molesworth’s U.S. Africa Command Directorate for Intelligence. In the face of this need, he has voluntarily created and donated over 1000 protective face shields for medical personnel in the local community to protect against the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Joint readiness through unity

    The 423rd Air Base Group and U.S. Africa Command Directorate for Intelligence at RAF Molesworth worked together to facilitate Joint Immersion Day, Feb. 20, 2020, and build a bridge between service members at RAF Alconbury and RAF Molesworth.
