    Airmen from the 422d and 42rd Security Forces Squadrons took part in National Police week at RAF Alconbury and RAF Croughton, England, Oct. 12-15, 2021. Police Week allowed defenders to pay homage to those who have served as police officers and for those that have lost their lives in the line of duty.

  • EM professionals develop C2 processes

    Emergency Management professionals held an Operational Planning team meeting at RAF Alconbury, England, Sept. 28, 2021. The meeting developed a foundation and framework for command and control operations and reporting within the 501st Combat Support Wing as well as critical communication connection to mission partners. During the meeting, attendees worked together to develop an organizational C2 process across all 501 CSW installations and organizations including mission partners and geographically separated units.
  • 501st CSW, 100th ARW, 352d SOW partner for ACE exercise

    Airmen from the 501st Combat Support Wing, 100th Air Refueling Wing and 352d Special Operations Wing partnered to conduct an ACE exercise to test their overall readiness and lethality capabilities. ACE ensures Airmen and aircrews are postured to deliver lethal combat power across the full spectrum of military operations.
  • 501st CSW supports Operation Allies Refuge

    Pathfinder Defenders returned home to the 501st Combat Support Wing after providing support to Operation Allies Refuge at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 16, 2021. For the past three-and-a-half weeks, Airmen from the 423rd and 422nd Security Forces Squadrons, the 501st CSW Chapel team, and other units volunteered to support one of the largest airlift in U.S. history. Together with many others, they ensured the success of a mission that evacuated 123,000 people from Afghanistan.
  • SFS defenders return from Operation Allies Refuge

    Airmen from the 501st Combat Support Wing, 48th Fighter Wing and 100th Air Refueling Wing, returned to RAF Mildenhall, England, Sept. 16, 2021. Defenders returned from Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, after providing support for Operation Allies Refuge.
  • 420th MUNS develop, transport assets for ACE exercise

    Airmen from the 420th Munitions Squadron constructed multiple wooden structures and supports for an asset transport at RAF Welford, England, Sept. 7, 2021. The inert assets were transported to RAF Lakenheath for an upcoming Agile Combat Employment exercise.
  • Pathfinders pay homage during 9/11 remembrance ceremony

    Airmen from the 501st Combat Support Wing along with cadets from the Alconbury Middle Highschool JROTC held a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at RAF Alconbury, England, Sept. 9, 2021. Airmen, cadets and guests came together to pay homage to those who lost their lives during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. "Pathfinders, Saturday marks the 20th Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States," said Col. Brian Filler, 501st Combat Support Wing commander. "I ask that you take a moment to remember those who died on that fateful day and to remember those who have been killed or wounded in the Service of our great Nation since September 11, 2001. "Thanks to everyone who has planned or participated in one of the moving Remembrance Ceremonies and Events across the 501st. As always, I am proud to serve with such a great team!"
  • 492d FS, RAF Fairford partner for ACE Exercise

    The 492d Fighter Squadron and the 420th Air Base Squadron partnered to conduct an Agile Combat Employment Exercise at RAF Fairford, England, Aug. 23-26, 2021. The exercise enables U.S. forces in Europe to operate from locations with varying levels of capacity and support. This further ensures Airmen and aircrews are postured to deliver lethal combat power across the full spectrum of military operations.
