Study Material:
Motorcycle operators (regardless of status (military, civilian, dependent) are highly encouraged to attend an approved Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course prior to PCS to USAFE. In order to meet the motorcycle licensing requirements for the assigned duty location, applicants must possess 1) a valid stateside driver license with a motorcycle endorsement and 2) proof of MSF completion (host nation license requirement may be more stringent that USAF requirement – a base supplement or other directive may require MSF completion sooner than five years). Although USAFE main operating bases have the potential to provide MSF training, situations may arise that prevent training opportunities. Riders that become overdue for intermediate or refresher training could face driving suspensions until training is completed.
Inbounds to 501st CSW must attend an approved Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course prior to PCS. The MSF Basic Rider Course (BRC) is NOT available to personnel assigned here.
