RAF MENWITH HILL, United Kingdom -- The 501st Combat Support Wing recently named the Innovator of the Month for August.

Staff Sgt. Ryan Foley, 421st Air Base Squadron, devised a plan and deployed a $40,000 network management suite that resulted in savings of $100,000 from the squadron's annual budget due to a reduction in extended maintenance contracts.

The system also saves 18 man-hours each week by eliminating the need to manually program network devices by providing increased network management oversight, and maintenance and programming capabilities.
