RAF Alconbury kicks off AFAF
RAF ALCONBURY, United Kingdom – Col. Michael Reiner, 423rd Air Base Group commander, and Master Sgt. Rocky Casto, 423rd ABG first sergeant, fill out pledges during the Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) kick off at Spartan Lanes on RAF Alconbury March 25. The AFAF provides an annual effort to raise funds for the charitable affiliates providing support to the Air Force family in need. These organizations are the Air Force Villages, Inc.; the Air Force Aid Society, Inc.; the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation; and the Air Force Enlisted Village, Inc. These organizations help Air Force members with aid in an emergency, for educational needs, or securing a retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.
