Mrs. Jeanne Pettifer returns to Molesworth 63 years after making her last delivery

Mrs. Jeanne Pettifer returns to RAF Molesworth some 63 years after making her last delivery of then-secret radar components to the U.S. 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy). A civilian member of the British Telecommuncations Research Establishment which invented radar, she gave up a boring office job to drive a van delivering radar equipment to British and American airfields. Mr. Gary Moncur looks at the list of names of 303rd Bomb Group veterans that signed the guest book at the 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy) Memorial at Royal Air Force Molesworth, England. Many of those that signed the book at the dedication of the memorial on June 3, 2000 have since passed away. As the webmaster and historian of the group Mr. Moncur knew the veterans from reunions of the group. Mr. Gary Moncur speaks on preservation of the legacy of the 303rd Bomb Group (Heavy) during a 5 June professional development seminar at Royal Air Force Molesworth. Mr. Moncur was visiting the base with his family following in the footsteps of his father LT Vern Moncur who flew the B-17 "Thunderbird" from this base in 1943 - 1944.
